Mythbuster's Adam Savage dies

California (AP) -- Mythbuster's Adam Savage was pronounced dead Thursday morning after being struck in the face by an errant piece of PVC piping at a warehouse on the Mythbusters set. Co-host Jamie Hyneman and two female interns were still at the Mythbusters studio when we attempted to contact them but declined to comment. According to people present during the incident the pipe was attached to a large, rotating machine.

It is unclear what the machine's purpose was but it apparently followed safety regulations and didn't immediately appear to be dangerous. According to a Mythbusters spokesman the fate of the show is still in question; "...we'd like to keep things going but it's not appropriate to make that decision at the moment. When things settle down we'll have a meeting and see if we want to at least finish the current season.". Savage leaves behind a wife and two children.
