Nintendo Gamecube
THE CUBE
IS READY!
August 25,
2000
The moment you, you, you and you have been
waiting for has finally arrived. Nintendo have unveiled their
next-generation gaming beast previously known as Dolphin.
The NINTENDO GAMECUBE (definitive official name for this unbelievable
machine) has been shown at the SPACEWORLD 2000 in Japan. Nintendo
said that no playable demos would be available at the event,
but promised that gamers would feel very happy.
That's exacly how we all feel at this moment,
and that is how everybody at the SPACEWORLD felt when assisting
to the presentation of what is going to be the most perfect game
machine ever created.
What we saw was simply outstanding. We
are not going to enter into details since we are running a site
focused on Zelda and that is what we are showing you now:
The first pictures of a Zelda demo running in REAL-TIME from
the GAMECUBE hardware. Guys and girls, if you haven't seen these
pictures before get ready to get a bib,... you're gonna need
it!!!!
Zelda GAMECUBE
Demo:

Link and Ganondorf exchanging taunts in an
amazingly detailed indoor environment. The character models are
rounded, presenting effects like flowing hair, moving eyes and
mouth, leather gloves, real-time sword reflections, authentic
3D models for the clothing, the shield, the walls and more.

The Demo presented by Nintendo is simply outstanding
from any point of view even though it was thrown together by
Miyamoto and teams at the last minute!

Do you remember how it looked the first demo
ever shown of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64? At that time
the demo was nothing compared to the final game. Having that
in mind, just imagine how the finished version of Zelda for GAMECUBE
would look like if the demo looks LIKE THIS!!!!
