Analisis: So
have you went out and bought your copy of Smash Brothers yet?
No, has that commercial with 4 nintendo characters running through
a field of flowers discouraged you? Well, that commercial is
ODD, but the game is far from it. I must say, that it is a Nintendo
game, why havent you bought it yet? It is simply fun and addictive.
The one player game is really fun for me. It has a challange
and you can set it to 5 different difficulty levels.
There are also hidden characters, which are Luigi, Jigglypuff,
Cpt Falcon, and Ness from Earthbound. Now, after awhile, the
one player game does get a little old, especially after you have
found all the hidden characters, but the most fun does not lie
in the one player game. The fun is in the multiplayer! YES, get
a group of of friends together and beat the snot out of each
other. You can spend hours apon hours ranting and raving about
the multiplayer game. It is very addictive. Finaly, just the
fun of getting to kick Pickachu's tail is the best part of the
game! Especialy when I use Samus Aran to do it!! Sorry Ultima9999.
Walkthrough:
Its time
for Super Smash Brothers! Walkthrough by me! (Ultima9999).
Although you probably don't need one, it's only right to
provide one for the losers, whiners, beggers, etc. The
game has no plot line; its a senseless brawl up to the end.
This, however is what makes it so fun. Be prepared, you'll
become a Smash Brothers expert once you
read this.
The game starts out with good old Link. His game was easy,
and Link is no exception. Basically, start out by running
at him, and do a few moves, and possibly a throw. If you
can get him up in the air, do an aerial power move to inflict
much pain on the Hero of Time. His only threat is the bomb,
especially with Pikachu. Link still doesn't make out much
with this move, and sometimes he holds onto it until it explodes!!!
Your target damage is around 90%. He doesn't have many
moves that help him to get up onto the platform, so a well placed
throw is all that is needed to finish him off. For extra
points, try getting Link into a tornado. If you can defeat
him in this manner, you'll score extra points. Next
up, its the Yoshi Team, where you'll fight 18 fruity dinos.
Do I need to even write a walkthrough for a stage where the enemies
don't even attack you? Just throw, and their pitifully
low defense rating will land them smashing into the boundries
of the stage. If you lose to this fight, you need help
from Charter.
Your first real challenge is from Fox. His stage is perhaps
one of the largest, which has good and bad points alike.
Fox is extremely fast character, and his laser attack has incredible
distance (this is not a problem if you are playing as Pikachu.)
Whatever you do, don't fight in the air. You'll get murdered
with combos if you do. The Arwings flying around in the
stage can do loads of damage on both you or Fox if you get in
their path of laser shots. Don't get on them though, you
can die when they fly off the stage. Watch out for Fox's
Fox Fire, and his Reflector attack, which will hurt you if you
touch him. For the kill, throw him off at the right-hand
part of the Great Fox. The clearence for Fox to get back
is very small, as the boundary for the level is very close.
You'll want Fox's damage to be at least 100%.
This is going tobe your first battle with an ally. You'll
be playing with a random character to fight with Mario and Luigi.
Start out by running up with an opening attack. Then jump
up to the top platform, so you can fight two-on-one against Luigi.
This is extremely effective, and you'll score damage points on
him quickly. Watch out on Mario when he is on the bottom
platform, as he can do a 4 hit combo on you there. Don't
become over confident at this point. Mario and Luigi can
make a quick comeback. Get their damage to at least 90%,
and then you can safely throw them off the edge.
Who's afraid of the little Pikachu? The incredibly dumb
computer will usually make Pikachu fall off the screen.
The real threat is the Pokemon though. A Voltorb can blow
you off the screen easily with almost any type of damage.
Pikachu flies with any type of power move, so if you can get
his damage to 70%, you'll defeat him easily.
Next up is Giant Donkey Kong. He has all of the old moves
of Donkey Kong, plus you'll have a hard time throwing him off
the edge because of his size. Luckily, you'll be playing
3 on 1 with him. Don't preform combo's on DK until his
damage is high. When you first face him, your moves won't
even stop his movement. Try projectile attacks. He
can break up people around him with a single attack, so distance
is imperative. But, don't be afraid to get close and show
him who's boss. Donkey Kong will go off the edge with damage
of about 200%. If you fall off, you can try to get to the
barrel floating at the bottom of the screen, which blasts you
back up onto the board. If you can keep all of your characters
alive, you'll get the DK Defender, which will give you bonus
points.
Kirby Team=Yoshi Team minus 12. Throw, rinse, repeat.
Easy enough. Unlike the Yoshis, these guys do attack, and
sometimes with deadly force. As long as you don't let them
gang up on you, you'll be done in no time flat.
On the planet Zebes, you'll meet up with Samus, the toughest
bounty hunter in the galaxy. Small galaxy, eh? Get
up close,
and give her what's coming. Combo moves are a must for
this combo queen. Let her have a second, and she'll pull
15 hits on you. Not nice,
huh? Her charge attack can inflict LOTS of damage, and
she charge up while moving around. If she starts flashing,
be careful. She can now
preform her blaster attack. Unlike other stages, its impossible
to kill by throwing someone down. The acid will hit them
back up plus
damage. Either throw Samus off the edge and make her hit
the boundaries, or let he fall into the acid and let her fall
into the horizon. Do the latter, as you'll get an Acid
Clear bonus for your efforts!
You're almost home! But first, you're going to have to
go through the walking tank, Metal Mario. His defensive
power is enomourous! You can hit him, and he'll still be
walking! Projectile attacks are a must, even if its worth
getting the Cheap Shot penalty.
Once he starts to pause when he attacks (usually 75% or greater)
preform combos on him until you can throw him well. He
falls extremly fast, but he'll do everything in his power to
get back onto the edge. But, if you keep at it, Metal Mario
won't be anything more than a rusty bucket.
Don't be intimidated. The 30 Fighting Polygons are quite
simple. Its just like all of the other multi character
battles, except these guys play on the offensive. Power
moves and throws should be your primary attacks. Items,
like the Home Run Bat and the Hammer should be used if they appear
on the screen. Although its long, all you are fighting
are the 8 primary characters. Keep at it, and you will
do just fine. Its normal to lose a life if you aren't experienced
at Super Smash Brothers, so don't think you're a loser if they
knock you off. If you die after having all three stock
though, that's a different story.
This is it, the final battle against Evil Hand! Unlike
the other battles you played, the object isn't to throw him off
the edge. Its to drain him of his 300 hp. Use combos.
Be sure to block often, EXCEPT: 1. When his finger
is glowing and is at a 45 degree angle. 2.
When he's coming out of the horizon with a flick attack (he'll
get you when he follows up with another attack) and 3.
When he's "walking."
Be on the offensive whenever possible, as he'll be playing hard.
Throws won't work on him, and he has moves that can knock you
off the arena in one hit no matter what your damage is.
Get him down to 0 hp, and the game is yours. Good luck!
