PS2 Vs. Majora's Mask!!!

First of all, let me say something. Despite Playstation 2 sales being low, that doesn't mean anything. Since it is sold out everywhere, you figure they are going to have a big releasal of systems by the time December rolls around so people can get them for Christmas. Sales soon should be going WAY UP^!!! and when the Gamecube comes around, PS2 prices will drop, so their sales go up again. Gamecube is going to have the best graphics, but Nintendo sux, they have the worst games. Onto the Zelda games for the 64, Ocarina of Time, great game, but the ending was horrible. that suxed when you have to go back in time, all that work for... NOTHING!!! And Majora's Mask...
horrible game!!! People talk about it being the greatest Zelda game ever. My @$$! That's bull.
Not only is Ocarina of Time way more superior than it, Majora just stunk, there it is BORING!!! Hey, it's cool, until you get your Ocarina. Right after you learn the song of time and then play it, so once you play it, the game starts to suck. There was just no motive to go on in the game becuz the plot stunk since you always just start over and over and over. It's boring. the other mandatory side missions that you have to do...
SUCK! Majora's Mask was just put out there to compete with Playstation 2. In the short run it might win, but by Christmas time PS2 will be way overshading Majora. Mark my words. Majora is horrible. Give PS2 some time.
Very few people have it, and the stores don't have it either. I know only two people that has it. They both said it is AWESOME!!! Obviously you're going to get your $300 worth, but unfortuneately the cost is a bit too much, which i think is the system's big prob. plus you remember when Dreamcast came out, all those glitches it had, so people are going to be careful when buying their system and wait for it to come out anyways. And another thing about sales... people who pre-ordered it out here STILL DON'T HAVE IT!!!
There are still thousands if not a hundred more preorders that still haven't gotten their system yet. So, wait a while. You have to buy a memory card, game and the system. That could add up to...$415 just about if you add the tax. so, just wait, PS2 will revolutionize the gaming industry, trust me.

You gave me the reason, PS2 cannot revolutionize the gaming industry simply because there are no PS2 out there! The machine is way expensive, and has no great games. The system is not amazing, its just an expensive system with average games. By the time Gamecube hits stores the PS2 will be an old system with non exclusive games. The price may drop (maybe not because of the DVD player and at this time Sony is already losing money with each system they sell), but it will be a system without exclusive games, or without any games at all because developers are now losing money and may not continue developing for Sony.

Majora's Mask is a fantastic game. I realize you haven't played the game for more than 1 hour. (You get the Ocarina right at the beginning so you are giving me the reason, again) It is not repetitive in any way, you may say that because you obviously havent played it. So give yourself a favour, go play Majora's Mask and realize why it has already outsold PS2 and ALL it's games.

People and retailers simply cannot give PS2 some more time since the time is now. And Nintendo and Sega have ruled the Christmas season, no matter how fantastic your friends say the PS2 is. Capcom and Konami have already claimed that they are losing time and money with Sony. Capcom cannot make RE: Code Veronica for PS2 look as good as the Dreamcast version... do you think a system as hard to code for as the so hyped PS2 is going to last long?

Nintendo doesn't suck, they have been leading the bussiness for a long time, and many developers, including Sony, have used Nintendo's ideas to create their games and hardware. So be sure to think by yourself from time to time, because I see you have been too much influenced by Sony's marketing strategy.

Forbidden Directory

Hi! I was on a forum, and someone linked off your site to post pictures of fan art. I looked under the "properties" of the image and it said that the image was in the http://www.htloz.com/fanstuff/fanart directory. I wanted to see what that site was, and then I went there and I got a message about legal action and that all my server information was recorded, etc. and that I was trying to access a forbidden directory! I honestly didn't mean for anything to happen, and now I'm really worried! HELP!!

It's a great remix but unfortunately you can't download it, you must listen to Radio Hyrule for it.

Which Zelda do you mean? Majora's mask? Zelda games are not intended for PC's or MAC's, however certain games are available as ROMS on some sites on the Internet. You can play those ROMS in your PC or MAC if you have an emulator. For instance, if you want to play Zelda: A Link to the Past on your MAC you will need a Super Nintendo emulator for MAC (www.emulation.net) , and a a ROM of that game. However, it's illegal to have ROMS of those games, therefore we cannot offer you such files because we would be hurting the gaming industry by doing so. Sorry, that's all we can do to help you out.

Yesterday (the 17th of November) "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" was released here in The Netherlands and the box seemed to be the normal one that lay in every store. But to my surprise when I opened the box, the cartridge was a gold one! Though this isn't a Collector's Edition game. I also heard stories of no one seeing a gray cartridge in the USA either, and also the non Collector's Editions without the nice box front have a gold cartridge. I've come to the conclusion that Nintendo must have decided to make ALL the MM's cartridges gold, and only have a small amount of CE's which only have a different box art in the US. For TOoT there were only CE's made for the US and Australia. Many Europeans imported the golden carts from Australia to play a PAL gold cartridge. I don't know if they'll get a CE in Australia again, but it's not worth importing them for Europeans to get a gold cartridge, cause our own cartridges are also gold. The only difference might be the different box art, no more, no less.

Yes, thanks for the letter. We made a mistake in one of our reports. As you say, all cartridges of Majora's Mask are golden, BUT the collectors edition has a 3D label. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

The Triforce is Found (in Majora's Mask!)!!!

If you go to enterance to Ikana Canyon in Termina Field you should notice on the pillars there is carved a triforce symbol. This also occurs on the stepping stones leading into the Inverted Stone Tower Temple. My question is, what the heck does the triforce have to do with anything? And why can you only find the symbol in Ikana Valley? Here is a definite tie to Hyrule, besides the same people for Hyrule.
I do not have a picture to back this up, but if you go there you'll know what I mean.

When you finish it you have nothing to be worried about. Just restart and you will see, nothing bad will happen.

My six year old grandson loves the Zelda games. He has asked Santa to bring him a sword and sheild like Link's. Do you know if there is any pretend items such as this for Zelda fans? And if so, please tell us how to get these. My daughter and I would appreciate it. By the way, your web site looks really good.

I think Nintendo would only do it if they knew the movie would be really popular, and lets face it, if you ask someone off the street if he knows what 'The Legend Of Zelda' is, he probably won't know.

This is the first time that I get in touch with you. I found your site just by chance and let me tell you that is one of the best Zelda sites anyone can find on the web. It's about everything: the cool graphic design, the accurate information and something that caught my entire attention: the music.
There's a sample of "Storms in Africa" in one of your pages. I'm a huge Enya fan as well as Zelda's. And this certainly sets a point of discussion.
What about having a Zelda video game with Enya's music? I mean, Original Zelda's music is really, really great but imagine listening to this wonderful Irish composer while running through the green fields of Hyrule.

Lets see what Koji Kondo can do on Gamecube first.

Well, we used this piece from Enya because it was perfect for that history part, but it's completely different to use it for a Zelda game. Enya sounds great (I am her fan also) but the perfect music and sound for a Zelda game is only composed by one of the greatest men, Koji Kondo.

The little tree

I am responding to the letter regarding the tree and the deku butler in the ending cinima scenes. The tree is a grave. If you remember you can get masks like the goron mask from playing the song of healing in front of dead or dying beings. These masks transform you into that person (Goron Link= Darmini). But who is Deku Link?
The butler's son is dead and he will say you look like him if you talk to him with the deku mask and in the beggining Tatl will teel you that the tree looks like you.

1. Where do you work from?(on the homepage) Are you all working in the same place or are you working from different countries? I have always thought that you are from the U.S, but when i read about Espio meeting Shigeru Miyamoto, it sonded like he lived in England. So, are you working from different places?

3. I love the Hyrulean jokes and the Dark art is WONDERFUL so please continue with it!

Hey everybody at HTLOZ. I love LoZ and naturally I love this site. But, lately you guys have been pissin' me off! I just got Maroja's Mask and I'm loving every minute of it. When I played OoT I had to tear pages out of videogame magazines, because I didn't want to be tempted by their onstant "HUGE ZELDA WALK-THROUGH" and spoilers. I barely made it without peeking (more than twice!) Now I have the same deal going on with this website.

Uh, man. Don't get so pissed. The Majora's Mask guide is just a small section of the site. If you don't want to see it then don't go there! If you can't control your hands and there's no way in life you can avoid going to that section, then maybe you should close your eyes, or turn off your comp. If that doesn't work (because some mysterious force makes you keep your comp on and staring at the monitor), then maybe you should call a specialist on rare internet disseases.
