All is quiet in the small village
of Kakariko. The peacefulness of night has settled over the village,
and all is still. Yet, an odd uneasiness seems to hang in the
air. Suddenly, there is movement in the stillness. A door opens,
and out steps a man. For the first time in years, the music man
has left the Windmill.
Nervously, he steps forward from he familiar domain. Although
scared of what awaits him in the outside world, he is more scared
of what was inside the windmill. He felt something was coming,
but he didn't know what. He only knew he had to leave the village.
As he headed down the steps, he noticed the well in the middle
of the village. "I remember there was something people were
saying about that well," he thought. "About how something
came out of it. Somethingbad. I never thought of before. Why
am I thinking of it now?"
Then he noticed a weird light coming from the well. And how the
Windmill was moving so fast. And that shadow slowly moving towards
him.
He looked up to see the source of the shadow. He screamed, and
"Wake up, Link!" The loud voice
came so suddenly, Link jumped straight into the air. He immediately
grabbed his sword and prepared for battle.
"Who was that!" he shouted.
"Calm down, Link," said the voice. There was a flash
of purple light, and Impa materialized before him. "Link,
something has happened in Kakariko," she said.
"It isn't about the Tri-Force, is it? We just got it back!"
grumbled Link.
"No, it is not the Tri-Force," said Impa. "This
situation may be worse.
Right now, I am using all my power just to relay this message
to you."
"What is it?" asked Link.
"As you well know, there is still much evil flowing through
Hyrule."
Began Impa. "As you have been have been battling, another
evil has been feeding on the dark forces, and has now broken
free. It is the evil shadow beast, Bongo Bongo. It has slowly
been gathering all the power it
can, and is now ten times stronger. It has broken into Kakariko,
and is now changing it into an extension of the Shadow Temple.
It will soon do this to all of Hyrule. I have been fighting back
as much as possible,
but soon, it will even devour me. Link, you have to destroy the
Shadow Beast once and for all before it controls the entire world!
My power will soon fade. It's up to" Impas image began to
fade, then
disappeared.
Startled, Link simply stared at where Impa had once been. Then
he came to his senses, and immediately went to awaken the others.

Chapter 2
Link quickly tryed got Zelda out of bed
but she just grumbled "Link, it's 2:00 in the morning. Go
back to bed."
"Zelda," Link said "I wish I could do that, but
Impa just woke me up and..."
"Impa!?" Zelda said as she jumped out of bed. "You
mean she's here?" Link looked at her. "Well, no she
isn't. She could only talk to me for a little bit."
Zelda suddenly grew in fear. "What's happend?" Link
stood there, almost afraid to answer. "Well?" Zelda
insisted.
Link scratched the back of his neck "Well...um...remember
when you pretended
you were a man named Shiek a few years back?"
Zelda was getting impatient. "Yes. Get to the point."
"Um...well...it seams that Bongo Bongo has returned."
Link told her.
Zelda looked at him, first in shock, then in frustration. "Link,
you woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me that Bongo
Bongo has returned?"
Zelda couldn't believe it. "Link, when you first fought
Bongo Bongo, you had almost no trouble beaten him, and now your
waking me up to tell me he has
return?" Zelda flopped into bed "Come on Link, your
better then that."
"You don't understand." Link said to her. "Bongo
Bongo is now ten times stronger then he was back then."
Zelda got up "What!?"
"Yes." Link said. "Bongo Bongo destroyed Kakariko
Village within seconds,
and now he is plan world domination. Not even Impa, the sage
of shadow, can
contain him."
Zelda was speechless. She had no idea what to say. Just then
Helen, a little
girl who was a close friend, came in the room. "What's going
on?" She said
rubbing her eye and yawning.
Zelda looked at her. "Get dressed dear, and i'll explain
everything.
Within the hour the whole castle was up
and ready for action. The king had high hopes for his army. Link,
however had a different opinon. "Your
magesty, I am not sure this is the best idea."
The king looked at him "Link, you, one person, was able
to beat that thing a
few years back and now you think that a entire army can't?"
The king smiled at him "I think you our just trying to get
me to call off my men so you can get credit."
Link didn't like what he was hearing. "Listen, now he is
ten times stronger then back then. I couldn't beat him if I had
all the Light Arrows in the world."
The kings smile got bigger. "Sure, Link. I believe you."
He chuckled as he said this.
Link couldn't believe it. Here was the world, at the brink of
destruction, and the "best king ever" was sitting here
laughing at it.
Just then there was a loud knock at the front door. The king
tenced for action. "Open the drawbridge."
Link didn't like it, but he knew he could not stop the king.
He just hoped that what was behind the door wasn't what he thought
it was. As the drawbridge opened, Link readyed his sword for
action. The drawbridge opened and Link stared in disbelief at
what had knocked on the drawbridge.

Chapter 3
Before him stood a wrecked and crumpled
group, torn and beaten. They were limping, being supported by
a person in better condition than they were, and most were being
carried in on cots. They were definately soldiers, and a few
were missing the red firebird on their chests. That meant they
were only trainees. Not even full soldiers.
Everyone was so taken aback by the condition of the troops that
they hadn't moved. "What are you STANDING there for?! Get
these men out of the rain!" Link shouted, and ran out to
assist the broken troop.
Others followed him, and soon every single soldier was inside.
"What happened? Why the training group?" the King hollered.
"Training group? You mean, these soldiers were just out
in the field doing DRILLS?" Zelda said, aghast.
"Exactly! The trainers would NEVER lead unqualified soldiers
into battle! And from the looks of it, that is what these people
were just in! They were directly attacked!"
"But.. why would Bongo-Bongo do THAT? Trainees are not a
threat to him!" Zelda cried.
"I don't know. But these guys need serious help. Take them
to the infermary, and fast." the king said.
Link was scanning the crowd as they left for anyone who was in
good enough condition to talk. It wasn't easy. But then, he saw
a soldier's back that was helping, rather than being helped.
He had a badly burned arm and no helmet, meaning he might have
taken
a hard blow to the head, but he paid no heed to his injury. A
burn? Link thought, frowning. Odd, I don't remember Bongo-Bongo
using fire to fight.
"Hey you... you there! Can you tell me what happened here?"
Link yelled in the direction of the kneeling soldier. The soldier
seemed to jerk in recognition of Link's voice, got up, and faced
him. Link saw a young man about his size with no firebird, with
dirty blond hair the same length as his own. His eyes were a
dark
and piercing brown, and his face was hard and serious.
That face was probably why Link didn't recognize him immediately,
but when the soldier saw him, the face lit up to the face Link
knew, alive and full of energy.
"We were attacked, straight arrow. Geez, talk about asking
the obvious."
Zelda heard this, and was about to take away all the trainee's
chances of becoming a full soldier, when she heard Link laughing.
She turned to him, disgusted.
"Link! There's absolutely NOTHING funny about tha.."
Zelda said, cut off by Link's suddenly non-miserable voice.
"Relax, Zelda. THIS idiot can say stuff like that and get
away with his future," Link said. He definately recognized
him now. Only ONE guy would say that at a time like this. He
ran over to him and they shook arms. Zelda was absolutely dumbfounded...
she had never seen Link so... well, giddy. The two were smiling
from ear to ear at the sight of each other, laughing and happy,
acting as if the massacre hadn't happened.
"Shane! Great to see you! Look at you, what, did you stick
your arm in a furnace?"
"You're not exactly easy on the eyes either! You looked
better in green."
"Ha! Hey, what's this? No firebird YET? Hmm.. they must
be blind, not letting a klutz like you into the army."
"Yeah, guess they got more brains than you."
"Not likely. You're the only guy i know who's a worthy opponent
for me in the archery drill."
"What do you mean, Archery drill! ALL of the drills!"
But this rambling on only lasted a few moments. Zelda cut in,
ready to bite both the boys' heads off.
"WHAT is going ON?? Have you totally forgotten what has
just happened?!?" Zelda shrieked. At this, the two snapped
out of it almost instantaneously, dead serious again. Link was
the first to speak.
"Shane... what happened? Why was the trainee group attacked?"
Shane sighed, and shook his head. "I don't know, straight
arrow. It was as if they were look.."
"They?" Link said, startled. "THEY? Who attacked
you?"
"A... a sort of purply slime. It shimmered as it moved,
and.." He was cut off again, this time by Zelda.
"That's Bongo Bongo! When he liquifies, he looks like that!
But why did he attack you?"
"I'm not done. The slime... Bongo-Bongo or whatever it was,
was coating about fifty stalfos. They were acting as if they
were... i don't know, searching us.
Scanning our faces. And if they didn't find what they were looking
for..." he paused and gestured to the soldiers being carried
off on cots. "The slime slid off of the stalfos and onto
the soldier. As if... draining his energy until he couldn't stand.
Then it would slide back onto the Stalfos and attack the next
person." He closed his eyes and shook his head in disgust.
"Kind of like... a way to help them remember who they have
checked. A system of narrowing down."
"But why? How come not all the soldiers were checked?"
Link shouted.
He sighed, and then rubbed his head. "I was attacked by
one. It saw I had no firebird, and grabbed me by the neck, and
shook my helmet off. It seemed to stare into my eyes... and then
it shouted something in his language. His slime slid off and
onto me... but instead of draining me..." He trailed off,
and then shuddered, and gestured to his burned arm. "It
tried to kill me. It seemed to make me burst into flame from
the inside out. But someone had figured out that if you slam
down your sword onto the slime, it falls off.
So it just got my arm. It slid back onto the stalfos and they
all retreated." he shrugged. "Probably because we found
out how to stop them."
Or because they found what they were looking for, Zelda thaught.
She couldn't remember at first, but Shane and Link's conversation
and the explanation Shane gave of the attack triggered her memory.
She had a dream that night, before Link woke her up... something
about a diamond in the rough, who's shine could only be seen
in the eyes of a friend.
"Come on," Zelda said to Link, "If Father will
just ignore you, then you'll just have to ignore him. We've got
to get to Kakariko to investigate."
Shane frowned. "Princess, if that thing can do this to a
whole troop, i don't think it would hesitate to do it to you."
Link smiled. "Shane, Zelda can take care of herself. I don't
even have to look out for her. Unlike you."
Shane grinned. "I believe Mr. Straight Arrow has forgotten
about the time Shane shot him with the paint ball arrow directly
on his butt from 70 yards away during drills."
Zelda cut in before Link had time to get embarassed.
"All right then, you're such a hot shot, come with us to
Kakariko. We'll need someone who knows the guard patterns to
get out of here." She had to find out whether Shane was
that diamond. I'm sure this diamond's vital to something, Zelda
thaught. Otherwise i wouldn't have dreamt it.
Shane sighed. He could get in serious trouble with the King personally
if he aided Link and Zelda in one of their ignore-the-king cases.
But this was an order from the Princess.
"All right, let's go. We'll need to wait until five.
That's when everyone is complaining about how they need sleep
and not paying attention to their duties."

Chapter 4:
The Windmill guy opened his eyes. He was
delirous, and his head throbbed.
Looking up, he was startled by a hideous face.
"Are you ok?" the face asked.
The Windmill Guy rubbed his eyes and looked
closer. It was merely a mask. A small hand reached up removed
the mask. Underneath was the face of a teenager. He recognized
him as the young boy who had idolized Dampe during his youth.
It seems that he still idolized the deceased gravedigger for
he carried a shovel at his side.
"Are you ok?" the boy asked,
repeating the question.
"Yeah, I think. What happened?"
The Windmill guy asked in response as he searched around for
his instrument.
"I believe this is what you are looking
for," said the boy while handing him the oddly shaped instrument.
"Thanks. May I ask what happened?"
the Windmill guy asked once again.
"I'm not sure. I was on my daily patrol
of the graveyard when I was startled by a bright flash of light.
I looked up and saw you falling from the sky.
Luckily, you fell into an open grave, softening your fall,"
the boy said.
"Thats a relief," the windmill
guy said in reply, sarcastically. Standing up, he rubbed his
side. Carefully, he picked up his instrument and placed it on
his shoulders, being careful not to disturb any of his many bruises.
"On your way out, be sure not to touch
any of the graves," the boy said, rather unapathetically.
"Gee, thanks for your concern,"
said the Windmill guy. "I guess I'll be off now." Securing
the straps on his instrument, the windmill guy walked down the
narrow passage, returning to Kakariko Village. Slowly climbing
the steps to the windmill, he noticed the old woman in charge
of the potion shop watching him. While disturbed, he brushed
it off as another one of her abnormalities and approached the
door, and pulled on the handle. It was locked. Turning
around, he noticed the old woman retreating into her shop. Trying
to open the door once more, the windmill guy gave up. Eyeing
the potion shop, he descended the steps and began his approach.
***
Riding Epona, Link turned around to see
Zelda and Shane on another horse, trailing him as he crossed
the bridge over Zora's River. Seeing that the two were falling
behind, Link stopped Epona, waiting for the other party.
"We're coming. Hold your horses,"
Zelda shouted ahead, attempting to make a joke. The Epona and
the other horse remained rather unamused.
Link rolled his eyes and continued on ahead,
climbing up the steps leading to Kakariko Village. Rounding the
corner, Link discovered that things were quiet. Too quiet. The
villagers were all hiding within their houses. Even the local
cucco population was nowhere to be seen. Link turned around once
more too see Zelda and Shane right behind him.
"Whats going on here?" Zelda
asked.
"I don't know, but I certainly intend
to find out," Link said in reply.
***
The Windmill guy peered through the darkness
of the Potion Shop, straining to see the olden woman within.
"Come closer," a crackly voice
said. The windmill guy moved forward in response.
"Why were you watching me?" he
asked. There was a silence. "Why were you watching me?"
"...Find Richard the dog and there
you will find your answers," the old woman said in reply.
"Richard the dog?"
"Richard the dog."
Looking at her curiously, the windmill
guy turned around and slowly left the Potion shop. What does
Richard the dog have to do with the Windmill being locked? Why
was the old woman being so secretive?

Chapter 5:
The Windmill Guy had began his
descent of the potion shop's stairs. Many things ran through
his mind, as if he was trying to piece it together; "Why
was I attacked?" "WHO attacked me?" "Why
is my windmill locked?" "And what does Richard the
Dog have to do with any of this?" He couldn't think of anything.
He continued to think about this as he prepared his travel preparations
out of Kakariko to begin his search for Richard the Dog.
After an hour of making arrangements and
creating a plan, he was off on a horse heading for Hyrule. "Perhaps
if I begin my search for Richard here, I might pick up some information."
He arrived at Hyrule Castle a couple minutes later. He decided
to ask the nearest person. He stopped at the gate and asked the
guard there if he knew of or saw a dog named Richard. The guard
replied; "Richard, huh? I don't really recall...... Wait!
You mean Little Richard the Dog?? Yeah, Yeah, I know of him.
He lives with his female master in a house in the alley. Try
looking there." The windmill guy continued on foot after
he heard the information.
As he entered the alley, it got suddenly
darker in the sky. "Ah, just a little rain, nothing to fear,"
he continued to think. He knocked on the door of the first house.
A muffled voice came from inside; "Come in". He opened
the door and entered the house. The owner was a young female.
She apparantly appeared to be waiting for something. "Yes?"
The windmill guy was taken aback for a second, for he thought
he knew her from somewhere. He shrugged it off a second later.
Uh..... He began. I'm looking for a 'Richard the Dog' here, would
you know where to find him? Now it was the girl's turn to be
taken aback. "Oh, you mean our Richard. Yeah, my mom went
to take him for a walk in Hyrule Field." "Been gone
an awful long time to be walking the dog," She continued.
"Might I inquire just WHY you are looking for him?"
"It's just that nobody seemed to care about Richard anymore
after the rumors began going about...."
The windmill guy was startled. "Rumors?"
"What rumors?" The girl continued; "Rumors have
been going about that Kakariko Village was destroyed last night
by an unknown force, and that Hyrule is next...." "It's
a bunch of nonsense, I think.... And it's got the townsfolk scared
half-to-death." "The windmill guy thanked the girl
for her kindness and information and left the house, once again
continuing his quest for Richard the Dog..... As he exited the
house, it was darker than usual when it came to rain. He started
to get a bit scared, but realized that nothing was going to happen,
because he was in the midst of Hyrule. The entire Hyrulian army
was at his side for protection, or at least he hoped.....
***
Meanwhile, at Kakariko Village, Link, Zelda,
and Shane were just beginning to unravel the mystery as to what
was going on..... As they continued through the village, they
noticed that some of the houses were in ruins. Bongo-Bongo had
sure done it this time.... Link turned around and said to Zelda
and Shane; "Maybe we should ask around and see what information
surfaces about this incident." "Good idea," Zelda
continued in reply. Link split up from Zelda and Shane so they
could cover more 'ground' faster. Hyrule could be attacked at
anytime, if Bongo-Bongo had that in mind.... And the Hyrulian
Army could not take them on by themselves.
Link stopped at the graveyard to see if
anything changed there. The young child that he sold the spooky
mask to had grown up and was now in his teenage years. He still
wore that mask and continued to idolize Dampe', because he was
carrying around a shovel now. He stopped the boy from his patrol
and asked him about the incident that occured last night. The
young boy replied; "I haven't got a clue. I was on a patrol
when I was blinded by a white flash of light coming from town
and then witnessed the windmill guy falling from the sky. Luckily
he landed in an open grave, cause that broke his fall."
"I helped him up, filled him in on what happened to him,
and he was off again." "I must admit, this was the
first time I've seen him out of the windmill in a LONG time."
Then the boy finally recognized Link.
"Hey!" "Aren't you that
kid from many years back?" "The one that sold me this
mask that I still carry around?" Link nodded in reply. "Wow!
You've really grown up like me! I heard about you from local
rumors and stories." "You really beat Ganondorf?"
"Wow! I always knew I would meet Ganondorf's killer face
to face, I had a feeling." "In fact, I had a dream
last night, I envisioned me talking to you here, but couldn't
make out what we were saying, OR why you even were talking to
me." "Well, listen, I gotta get back to my patrol,
maybe you should come back in awhile. Something new might happen
and I could help you out." Link thanked the boy and headed
for the center of town, where he was going to meet Zelda and
Shane.
Link met up with Zelda and Shane and they
exchanged information. Link started; "I talked to the young
boy who idolizes Dampe' the Gravekeeper, he saw bits and pieces
of what happened." "He told me that he was patrolling
and was blinded by a white flash of light. Then saw the guy who
operates the windmill falling through the sky. He landed in an
open grave, and the boy told him what he told me." "Then
the guy was off." Your turn, he said. Shane continued; "I
discovered that the townsfolk were just going about their activites
before the town 'closed' for the night, when a large beam of
light surfaced from the well, and continued to materialize into
a substance sort of like liquid." The rest matches up with
your story. "Hmm....." Zelda pondered out loud, "What
could it mean? It makes no sense!"
"Well, Shane interrupted, we have
no need to stay here any longer." "We tried to interpret
what happened here, and we just barely scratched the surface,
I think." "We should head back to Hyrule now...."
"Wait, Link said." "There's still one last person
I want to 'interrogate' about this incident......" "Wait
here," he half commanded, half asked. He ran to the windmill
and tried to open the door. "Argh! Locked!" "But
why would the windmill operator lock the door?" "Maybe
he's scared of what's happening outside." Link ran back
to Shane and Zelda. "Well?" Zelda asked impatiently.
"The windmill door is locked," Link replied. "I
think it's time to go." Shane nodded and then they were
off, Link riding Epona and Zelda and Shane trying to catch up
on another horse.
***
The windmill guy walked back to the gate
and began to mount his horse to leave, when the gatekeeper stopped
him. "Sir, we have to shut the gate and suspend any travel
in or out of Hyrule for safety reasons." "With all
that's been going on the last couple days, we can't take a chance
on anything." "Until this 'storm' settles, I'm afraid
that we can't allow you to leave the town." It would be
a good idea to find shelter for the night," the guard continued.
Outside, The windmill guy appeared calm and nonchalent..... But
on the inside, it showed nothing but frustration and anger. "Oh,
well, I guess I will have to accept your judgement." "Thanks
for the kind concern."
The windmill guy walked back to the girl's
house and knocked. Once again, the muffled voice of "Come
in" filled his ears. He walked in and the girl gave him
a warm welcome. "Hello again, what brings you back?"
"The windmill guy explained his situation, AND why he began
his journey....
*** Hours later....***
The girl just seemed to nod and absorb
the information the windmill guy just revealed. She said "So
you probably need shelter for the night, and then you can continue
your journey, huh?" "Well, alright, BUT on one condition..."
"That you take me with you when you start up again, because
I'm worried about my mother being out there all alone with no
shelter or anything, especially during this sudden change of
'weather'. The windmill man agreed to take the young girl along
with him on his journey. Inside the windmill man's thoughts,
he had a bad feeling about what was happening..... He was sure
something was going to happen overnight, but, it was JUST a feeling.....
Wasn't it?

Chapter 6:
Link, Zelda, and Shane finally made it to Hyrule Castle Town
gates... only to find them locked.
Shane looked up at the sky. "Fine time to be locked out.
It's going to storm soon." Link and Zelda nodded, and Link
took a deep breath and yelled up to the bridgekeeper on the lookout
tower:
"LO THERE! LET US IN!"
The figure far up on the lookout post looked down, and then shouted
back. "NO PASSAGE IN OR OUT HYRULE! THESE ARE DANGEROUS
TIMES!"
This made Zelda mad. "I'M PRINCESS ZELDA OF HYRULE! I COMMAND
YOU OPEN THE GATES!"
"YEAH, AND I'M A GERUDO!"
"Why, you..."
"Zelda... don't waste your breath. He's not letting us in,
and you're too far away to be recognized." Shane said. Zelda
sighed.
"I guess we'll have to find shelter somewhere else."
Zelda turned to Link.
"Link, you stayed virtually everywhere in Hyrule when you
were looking for those medallions. Do you know anywhere we can
stay that has a roof over it?" She asked.
Shane smiled. "I don't think people would have let a guy
who looked like he had just killed something into their home,
Zelda."
"Well, you do have a point. But there's one place that stuff
like that doesn't matter, Shane. And you're going to be mad at
me for not telling you about this
place." He smiled.
Shane and Zelda looked at him.
"Gerudo Valley."
"You've been hanging out with a whole race of gorgeous women
and you didn't TELL me?!?" Shane shouted, causing Link to
laugh so hard he almost fell off
Epona.
Zelda rolled her eyes, and then said "Link, i thaught you
just snuck by them to get to the desert. Not JOINED them. If
they found out you were destined to
destroy their leader, they would've killed you. And they certainly
would kill you now..."
"No, they wouldn't. They were under the foot of Ganondorf...
remember, they used to be chilvarous, led by Nabooru. Then Ganondorf
came along. He screwed them up, but now he's gone. They're ruled
by Atika now, and she was good friends with Nabooru. The Gerudo
are noble again. Well, for thieves." Link smiled. "As
for joining them, i suppose they just liked the idea of having
a GOOD looking guy around, instead of that pig Ganon."
"Well, they won't kill us, so let's GO. The sky is getting
worse." Shane said. They all nodded, and headed towards
Gerudo Valley. Link was leading the way, with Zelda and Shane
behind him. He glanced at the sky... and he noticed something.
Those weren't ordinary stormclouds. Others couldn't see it, but
he
could... all sensative to evil could. It was the same sky as
when Ganondorf chased Zelda out of the castle, seven years ago,
showing the climate of evil had begun. And now the sky had returned,
the swirls of black, red and grey clouds that seemed to swallow
all of Hyrule. It was as if...
"LINK! LOOK OUT!"
Link looked back down in front of him and veered left sharply,
avoiding smashing into the tree. Epona screamed and reared up.
Link calmed her down while the other two came up to him. Shane
was laughing.
"Are you blind or something? Or were you suddenly extremely
attracted to that tree's bark?"
Zelda sighed. "Link, what's wrong?"
"The sky..."
Zelda and Shane looked up. And to Link's surprise, Shane felt
the evil, too. He could tell by his suddenly solemn and worried
face. Well, that's strange, Link thaught. Why is he sensative
to it? That would mean he has some sort of destiny... He almost
yelled. Shane? My best friend? A destined hero? But for what?
What is he supposed to do... Link looked at Shane. I won't tell
him until i'm sure... no use freaking him out... he almost smiled.
or getting him conceited, which is more likely than that...
"Uh... Link? What?" Shane said.
Link hadn't realized his facial expression of bewilderness. "Uh...
I'll tell you later. There's no storm coming. It's worse. We've
got to warn everyone."
They hadn't gone far, so they trotted back to the castle gate.
"LET US IN! WE HAVE AN URGENT MESSAGE FOR THE KING!"
"YOU AGAIN! I TOLD YOU, I GOT ORDERS!" the figure dissapeared.
Shane spoke up, recognizing the voice.
"Hey, I know him! It's Dobbs!"
"So?" Zelda said.
"So, he'll let us in, if we pretend we have some sort of
evil prisoner. He hates Ganondorf because his wife's dog Richard
got injured by his troops, and it really caused her to freak
out. So, he wants every evil creature to be thrown in the dungeon
as soon as possible," Shane said. "So much so that
he would... go
against orders... to hasten a goon's punishment."
"Well, we've got the perfect goon." Link said. Zelda
sighed and switched to Epona, so Shane could be on his own horse.
Shane smiled, and started grunting and howling, ranting and raving,
howling "LET ME LOOSE! LET ME LOOSE!" and pretending
he had rope tying his arms together. Dobbs came back into their
view.
"WHAT'S THAT? WHO DO YOU GOT THERE?"
"CALM DOWN, YOU BRUTE!" Link shouted loudly enough
to be heard, and he pretended to tug his end of the rope, and
Shane in turn lunged foreward, screaming. "OH, LOOKOUT MAN!
WE'VE GOT ONE OF THOSE STALFOS WARRIORS!
HE'S SCHEDULED TO BE TAKEN TO THE DUNGEON, BUT SINCE
YOU CAN'T LET US IN, WE'LL JUST WAIT." Link yelled to Dobbs
casually. And to help the effect:
"I'LL ESCAPE BY THEN, YOU GOODIE-GOODIES! WA HA HA HA
HAAAA! YOU'LL NEVER CONTAIN ME!" Shane howled, and started
struggling with his invisible rope again.
Zelda almost laughed, Shane was hamming it up so much.
There seemed to be a pause, and suddenly, "ALL RIGHT, I'LL
LET YOU IN, BUT DON'T TELL ANYONE!" Dobbs yelled to them.
And the drawbridge lowered, and the two horses trotted in, but
picked up speed to get out of Dobb's sight. then Shane stopped
grunting and they all dismounted. "Very lively perfomrance"
Zelda said, and she and Link burst into laughter. Shane smiled
and took a bow. Now that they were close enough to be recognized
by the guards, they almost immediately got a "Princess Zelda!
Link! You're wanted in the castle immediately!" from a guard.
"Uh oh, did the kiddies stay out too late?" Shane said
to them, and almost laughed, when he remembered that he could
get in big trouble too. Actually, Link reminded him. He sighed
and the three headed for the castle.

Chapter 7:
The trio arrived to the castle gate.
"Now this is odd! No gaurds?"
Zelda cried.
"Maybe...Maybe the got scared and....went
inside" Shane suggested
"Zelda! HELEN! We left her here! remember???"
Link exclaimed. "if something happend to her I will hate
my self!"
Link unsheathed his sword and ran in. Zelda
and Shane followed in persuit.
they ran around in the courtyard and no gards were to be found.
"HELEN!" the all yelled
"Father!" Zelda cried, but she
got no response. How could a whole castle full of people just
vanish she wondered. The dark halls of the castle left a lot
of room for exploration. Link motioned to a door and they went
in.
He grabbed a torch on the way in.
"Zelda, I am just courious about this,
but, Do you think Impa might be here still? I mean...not in the
castle, but in here home behind the castle?" Link questioned.
"It is possible, no one really knows
about her being behind the castle." Zelda replied.
"Then we will go....."Link was
cut off by the flapping of wings. "Helen!"
He ran to the nearest exit to meet Helen and left the other 2
in the dark.
Link got outside and looked in amazement. Helen say him and landed
Quazar close by. The little 3 foot sprite dissmounted her dragon
and ran to Link.
"I though you 2 were dead!!"
Helen exclaimed
"What? Me? Die?" Link questioned
Zelda and Shane came out of the castle.
"helen I am so glad to see you! Wre
arent going to leave you again!" Zelda
said with tears in her eyes. Her and Helen hugged for a few seconds,
the released. Helen looked over at Shane and said "Who is
this ugly little
twerp?"
Shane looked angry. "Who are you calling
little? I am a great worrior! Believe me!"
"Well, Helen, this is Shane. He is
a tag a long, but he is a little useful!" Link said playfully
then his tone changed to serious.
"Oh! " Helen exclaimed, "I
got some stuff to tell you! After you 3 left castle, I snuck
out trying to find you. I got on quazar and left. We flew a little
bit over Kakariko villiage but couldnt find you 3 so we turned
back and as we turned back we say this blue light over the castle
and every one was sorta sucked up into it. We flew around for
a little bit until we could land at a safe disstance and landed
out by Lon-Lon Ranch. I dont know what that thing was but it
was bad."
"Thats it" Zelda motioned "we
are going to find Impa"
The 4 (and one dragon) left the castle.

Chapter 8:
As they set out to look for Impa, Zelda
stopped dead in her tracks."What is it?" Link asked
her with a face of concern. Zelda's eyes rolled back into her
head and some force started pulling her into the air. Shane was
very frightened."What's going on?"he asked."You
tell me!" Without warning, Zelda started floating away to
the throne room of the castle.
Spechless, Shane,Helen and Link followed. Zelda went through
the doors and right up to the thrones. The stupified trio watched
as she started to come back down. As Link went to check on her,
the walls behind the thrones parted.A great white light flashed
in front of them. Then it abruptly stopped.Link, Shane, and Helen
looked in wonder for when the light faded, standing in front
of them were the goddesses of Hyrule.
When one spoke, they all spoke but said the same thing. In front
of them was Zelda
on her knees. Except she was glowing."To defeat Bongo Bongo,
you will need assistance. He is not just a foe, he is more dangerous
than Impa of the Sheikas thinks." they spoke.
----meanwhile-----
The next morning, the mn from the windmill and the young girl
set out to find her mother and Richard the dog.The young girl
asked the windmill man what is name was."Uhhh..Tem."
The girl said "My name is Skye." They continued on
until it began to get dark. Then they came upon the Lon Lon Ranch.
Tem and Skye went inside to ask if they could lodge for the night,
but no one was there! Then out of the corner of her eye, Skye
saw something. Then she screamed.

Chapter 9
"Wh... what do you mean, assistance?"
Link managed.
"And... what's this about being worse than what.. uh, Impa...
thinks..?" Shane added.
"Y.. yeah," Helen nodded.
The three goddesses each held out their left arm. Din reached
out to Helen, Nayru reached out to Zelda (still kneeling on the
ground), and Farore reached to Link. Zelda rose and floated towards
the blue goddess, until Nayru's shimmering hand was pressed against
her forehead. Zelda's entire body then emitted a brilliant burst
of blue light, causing Link and the others to shield their eyes.
When they looked back, Zelda was coated in a shimmering blue
aura. They couldn't remain stunned for long, because after about
three seconds Link and Helen rose into the air as well. "H..
hey! What the..." Link began, but then both he and Helen
stopped flailing and became perfectly still, now in the same
trance as Zelda. Shane looked up at them both, dumbstruck, then
shifted his eyes back down to see the red and green godesses
rising off the ground and hovering towards the two figures. They
also placed their hands against each hero's forehead, and the
same thing happened, blinding Shane with the burst of light.
Once he could see again, Helen was coated in a red aura, Link
a green aura.
Zelda, Link, and Helen then floated back
to the ground, behind Shane, who spun to face the trio. The goddesses
returned to the platform where the thrones used to be. The three
snapped out of their trances, and gasped.
"What... what is this?" Zelda managed, looking at the
blue light surrounding her hands and arms. "What did you
give us?"
"We have bestowed unto thee our power," they replied.
"It... it's incredible! I can... feel it!" Helen said.
"I.. I know, but... I thought I had your power before...
this is... way bigger, though..." Link said, bewildered.
This time, only Farore spoke. "You possessed my power only
through my triforce before. The power I have bestowed upon thee
now is all of my essence, directly from me."
Link couldn't reply. He only stared at the brilliant goddess.
"Thou is wondering if thine enemy is truly so powerful as
to compell us to give you our power directly?" They nodded.
This time, Din spoke. "To be entirely truthful, even you
three are not enough to defeat this evil alone." The goddesses
then turned their attention to Shane, who had remained silent.
He sensed the goddesses' eyes on him, so he turned to face them.
They were indeed looking at him, telling him.
"Wha... you've... gottabe.. kidding! I'm no... I mean..."
"You have a power that not even you know of," Nayru
said.
"...but..."
"Shane, I think... you should trust the goddess," Link
said. Zelda nodded.
Shane spun to face them. "C'mon, guys... I may have measured
up before, but I'd just get in the way now... you three have
unbelievable power,
I..."
All three goddesses spoke now. "After we departed to our
world, leaving the triforce as a relic, Farore's creatures began
to grow on Din's world under Nayru's laws. However, one key element
was missing, and so Lavatina, the Goddess of Will, descended
upon Hyrule and spirited the mind and emotion for the creatures
of the world. Leaving no relic, wishing not to be remembered,
being a rather stealthy and shy goddess, she returned to our
world." The four stared, dumbstruck.
"You mean... a fourth...?" Helen stammered.
"Lavatina..." Link whispered.
"And Shane... Shane shall receive her power?" Zelda
said. Shane could do nothing but blink.
"More than that. That man, because he is connected with
Lavatina, is the only one who can destroy the enemy's main defense,
enabling the final movement."
"Huh? Main defense?" Helen said.
"Final movement?" Link asked.
"Since Lavatina created mind and emotion, she also indirectly
created the enemy you must face."
"What?!" all four yelled.
"There is no time."
At this, Shane's head went limp, and he floated into the air.
A fourth goddess emerged from the light. She floated to the young
man and placed her hand on his forehead, and the brilliant light
caused the trio below him to shield their eyes. When they looked
back up, the beautiful goddess was already gone, and Shane was
shrouded in a violet aura. He settled on the ground and snapped
out of the trance. Before anyone could react, the three goddesses
began fading, leaving only one final comment:
"Hurry, heroes! Hurry towards Lon Lon Ranch. The first wave
of the hurricane awaits you there!"
And then they were gone. Their auras faded, and they were left
alone in the throne room. They all stood, silent, eyes wide.
"We... just saw... the three goddesses... were told... one
of the biggest secrets of the heavens... and just received...
their power." Link said.
"Uh huh," the others responded.
It was quiet again, until Link shouted, "Well, you heard
them! Let's go to Lon Lon ranch! We're ready!"
"Right!" they yelled, and they ran out of the castle
as fast as they could, mounted their horses and dragon, and sped
towards the ranch.

Chapter 10
There was a black hole right in the middle
in the middle of LonLon Ranch. And walking closer was "MOTHER!!!"
Skye's mother, and Richard the dog were walking right into the
black hole. Link, Zelda, and Shane pulled up in LonLon Ranch.
Skye and Tem were about to be sucked into it, but Link had time
to save Skye.
Hellen arrived seconds later on her dragon in time to see a blue
light, and everyone from the castle went in the black hole. Just
as they were about to also get sucked in, Malon appeared out
of nowhere and played Epona's song! It had so much effect on
the 2 horses that they could fight the power of the black hole.
She lead them outside, and Link played the "Requiem of Spirits"
on his Ocarina. When they all got safely in the spirit temple,
"What's with that black hole?" Zelda inquired. "I
don't know, but whatever it's for, it took my father," Malon
said.
"Hey!" said a little voice. It
was Navi the fairy. On that day seven years ago, Navi became
Link's fairy. "If the Great Deku Tree ever found out about
this, it would be my pink tiny butt back in Fairy's Fountain!!
Not yours, mine, so-"
"Good idea. See ya!" Link joked.
"I couldn't help over hearing about the black hole. You
do know Bongo Bongo is a carnivorous monster?" Zelda,
Skye, and Malon stood stunned.
Link and Shane went outside to find the
6 sages injured. Saria broke most of her bones, Darunia was bruised
like crazy, Ruto had most of her skin burned off, Nabooru was
covered in scars and cuts, Impa was weak and covered in blood,
and Rauru was bruised too.
"WHAT HAPPENED???" the 2 boys
yelled together.
"we were looking for you and Zelda, and there it was. 10
times bigger than last time, and talking Ganon tattoos
on his hands! They seemed to be talking in a different language."
Saria said.
"It seems it has new attacks,"
informed them.
There was a blinding flash of light

Chapter 11
"Ha Ha Ha!," the evil laughter
came from the sudden flash, and before the Sages, Link, and friends
stood none other than Ganondorf himself!
"You may have trapped me here in the Sacred Realm, but I
still have the Triforce of . Link, Zelda, and Sages, you
are viewing my holographic self. I come bearing a message
to you all."
"I would be careful if I were you, Ganondorf! I defeated
you before, and I can do it again!" Link was trying
to sound courageous, but his voice was slightly cracking.
"Be quiet, fool!," Ganon snapped. "Let me
finish talking or I shall release all of my hidden power upon
you and your pitiful friends. First, I will give you three days
to let me free from this prison, or I shall let Bongo Bongo destroy
all of you. Second, let me clue you in on Bongo Bongo...he's
not the only temple monster that wants revenge for what you did,
but he is the first!"
"How do we know that you won't destroy us anyway when we
release you?," Zelda said.
Ganondorf's hologram looked evilly at her. "Do you
have a choice? Three days...heroes!" With that he
laughed one more time, then disappeared with another flash of
light.
Impa was the first to speak. "After
all these years, Hyrule is finally reaching the point of destruction.
What shall we do?"
"Let's go to the Temple of Time,"
Link replied. "We'll decide there."

Chapter 12
As Link entered the Temple of Time, he
heard a piercingly loud clap of thunder. Before Shane or
Zelda could enter, the door slammed shut. Link looked back, alarmed.
He looked around to see a holographic figure, but couldn't make
out the face. It spoke, but some of its words were muffled
and interfered with.
"Link... a monster is loose in the
water temple. ----------- and it's headed ---- already
destroyed --- We the Zora need your help! It' s too powerful
- --- --- -- --- -- ---- -- -"
Link could see the figure, as he figured,
Princess Ruto, disappear by the second.
"Where is it? How can I help?"
"-- at the ---- --- -- ------------ -- -- ------------ arrows...."
"I'm losing you!"
"It's ------ just --- --- -- ------------------ AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Link stood there, almost paralyzed, watching
a waterfall swarm down on Ruto. He felt her powers as a
Sage weaken. As he took out his Ocarina to warp out, it
shattered. The pieces of fine tempered glass cut his hands.
"Guess who?" cackled Ganondorf
as all of Link's weapons shatered, one by one, into dust.
Bombs, boomerang, his sword, shield, everything. Link stood,
fear and anger growing inside him, as Ganondorf cackled into
the darkness...
And he heard Shane cry out "Watch
out ---- No! Come back and put the Princess down NOW!
Hey you! STOP!!!!"

Chapter 13
"She's mine!," Ganondorf's hologram
yelled.
"Let her go, Ganondorf!," yelled
Shane from outside. But how could that be? Ganondorf
was in front of Link, and anyway, he was just a hologram.
"Link, I see your princess have been
reaquainted with Phantom Ganon. Looks like I have the upper hand,
'Hero of Time!' Ha! Ha! You will release me
from here or you shall never see Zelda again, and my monsters
will destroy you! Ha! Ha! Time is wearing away,
and soon I shall again reign supreme over Hyrule!"
With that, the voice and the hologram faded ending with evil
laughter.
The door to the Temple of Time opened suddenly,
and Link stared at the entire crew standing outside in astonishment
of what just happened.
"I have an idea, guys,"
Link said. We must wait, though. And we will need
one very important person. I have no weapons...so we must
use the monsters' powers against each other!"
The team huddled into a group to discuss
the plan of action.

Chapter 14
"I can't believe my never ending stream
of bad luck!" Link screamed out of helplessness. He was
in a position to do nothing and only Shane remained out of the
original foursome. "It's a good thing Ruto's a survivor.
After getting most of her skin burned off and being attacked
by a giant water beast, I'd think most people wouldn't have survived!"
"Link! Can you hear me?" Shane's voice came from the
other side of the door, "They've got Zelda and they were
heading to ward the graveyard back in Kakariko!"
"I'm beat Shane, you're the only one who can save them now,"
Link stated.
"But what about the powers you gained from Farore?"
"There's a magical barrier in this room! I can't escape.
Go find Helen! Head to Kakariko, and if I can find a way out
I'll meet you there. Don't wait around for me! Besides, Impa
said only you could defeat Bongo Bongo."
"Good point. But what about the rest of Hyrule? All the
evil temple bosses are returning!" Shane yelled in an exasperated
tone.
"Don't worry about that, Shane. In my long experience of
fighting evil monsters, I've come to the realization that chopping
off the head of the snake always stop the rest of the body from
slithering."
"Guess I can't argue with you on that. Fine, I'm going,"
and Shane set off for the graveyard, hoping to meet up with Helen
on the way.
"Ganondorf! I can't believe you're
still trying to dominate Hyrule, even from another dimension!"
Zelda cursed at Phantom Ganon, who was acting as a telephone
between the two dimensions.
"Really, princess, after all the trouble you've caused me,
you didn't think I wouldn't actually return the favor, did you?"
Ganon's evil laughter was in no way terrifying, even though it
was being broadcast through an interdimensional rift.
"Well, I expect Link and Shane to come along and spoil your
little romp in Hyrule soon enough."
"Oh really?" Ganon questioned, "Well. I'm sorry
to inform you that the 'Great Hero of Time' ahs been detained.
Don't expect your boyfriend to save you any time soon!"
"He's not my boyfriend! Zelda retorted meekly, "Wellumm
YOU OVERGROWN PIG!"
"HAHAHAH!!!! You can be quite amusing some times, princess,"
Ganon laughed, as he continued to wait for the sages to give
in to his demands and break the barrier that prevented him from
reigning supreme over the kingdom.

Chapter 15
After some planning Link, Shane, and a
quite shaken Helen set off for a very unusual place, Dampe's
Grave. Few people ever knew that when Dampe was young, he met
a ghost which gave him a very special power. What it is cannot
be explained, but for many years it kept Bongo-Bongo dormant.
On arrival, our hero's found Dampe's grave empty! "Where's
a dead person at a time like this! Shane sarcastically mumbled.
Finally, Skye and Tem had found Richard
the Dog and Skye's mother. It seemed there was nothing special
about Richard the dog, but the Potion Lady must have found it
funny to put the key to the Windmill on Richard's collar. Quite
puzzled, Link and Shane talked as Helen wandered around."Mm-Mm."
"What was that!" Helen asked. "Your just hearing
things, Helen," replied Link. But she heard the mumble again
and again.
She neared the Windmill and went to open
the door, when a bony hand touched her shoulder! "It's locked"
came the voice of Tem. "Let me unlock it." He did so
and as soon as he opened the door they saw the body of Dampe
shuddering in the corner. "Link! Shane! Dampe is in the
Windmill!" bellowed a startled Helen. Link and Shane came
running. Dampe seeing Link floated up and began to speak: "Link,
I am so glad to see you! I must tell you something! Bongo-Bongo
has escaped!" "What gave it away" said Shane.
"I hid in here; but now that you are here I shall help you
defeat it!" Dampe said. "Thanks for the help; but first
we have to save Princess Zelda!" replied Link. " What
happened to her?" Dampe questioned. "Phantom Ganon
took her away!" replied link. "Phantom Ganon? Hah!
We spirits can find each other 1, 2, 3. Thankfully I'm much stronger
then he is so be back in a flash!" Dampe disappeared and
in about 10 minutes reappeared, with a badly beaten Phantom Ganon,
and Princess Zelda. Zelda, seeming like nothing happened, immediately
set off to find Bongo-Bongo with the group not far behind.
They soon met up with Bongo-Bongo, being
such a large monster. Zelda immediately began trying to constrain
him, Link started to shoot Light arrows, Helen used her dragon's
flamey breath, and Dampe shot Bongo-Bongo with beams of light.
1 by 1 our hero's dropped until only Shane was standing. Bongo-Bongo
shot a ball of fire toward Shane which engulfed his entire body.
But he was not hurt. His previously burnt arm was now healed
and he started to glow. A ray of light shot out of him and went
and healed the others. His hands moved in front of him and sphere
of light began to form between his hands. The same thing was
happening to the others.
All at once, the spheres of light shot
toward Bongo-Bongo and he was killed. Everyone rejoiced. The
next day a huge party was held in the Lon Lon Ranch, but Link
only wondered was this Ganon's last attack or just the first.

Wow! what an amazing story!
Soon we will start another adventure for you to continue!!
There
is so much talent in Hyrule, and it shows. Every day my mail
box is full of stories, and this is what I need to stress to
you. Don't give up hope if your story is not accepted. Try again.
Eventually, your story will be accepted. Try to keep these things
in mind when righting a story and you might have a good chace
of being in the new chapter:
- Follow the thread of the Story. Try to continue with what the
author of the last chapter was trying to do, but in your own
way.
- Maintain the same characters that were in previous chapter.
Don't try to
introduce too many new chracters to the interactive story, becuase
it will be hard to follow.
- Add a little "suprise" to the story, or keep excitement
in the chapter.
Keep these things in mind
and your story has a good chance of being accepted.
